Refund | Return Policy


At Ikumba Design Studios we believe in high standards and quality control of our Collections.

Our Returns/Refunds/Exchange Policy ensures a smooth and easy process giving you the security that if the product you ordered is faulty, damaged or you have received the wrong item we will take care of it for you.

Ikumba Design Studios is only obligated to make a refund in accordance with their Returns/Refunds/Exchange Policy which is detailed below. Please take care to ensure your products are chosen carefully as we do not offer a refund/return or exchange policy if you change your mind. To arrange a return, refund or exchange, please email us at contact@ikumbadesign.com and advise us of the following:

  1. Your Name, Email Address, Delivery Address and Contact Telephone Number
  2. The original Order Number.
  3. Date of Purchase & Method of payment.
  4. The product item number, price and description of the item that you wish to exchange, return or refund and the reason. A photo of any damaged goods where possible.

Once we receive your email we reply and/or call you and issue you with an authorization code and further instructions. Once you have been issued with this code please attach the email to your original. PLEASE NOTE that we cannot accept any goods back without our prior consent and an authorization code.


Returns/Refunds/Exchange Policy:

GENERAL RETURNS/REFUNDS

We are happy to process returns for most purchases within 30 days of receipt if the item is unused and in its original condition, unless specifically stated otherwise at the time of purchase. Any returned item that is not in its original condition must be damaged or missing parts due to our error. Shipping and taxes are not refundable. We will issue site credit for the item subtotal once your return is received, inspected and processed through our return center.

All purchases paid with a coupon code, rebate or discount are final sale and may not be returned.

Please note, we cannot accept returns on final-sale merchandise, monogrammed/personalized items, special-order items or items damaged through normal wear and tear.

MANUFACTURERS FAULT OR DAMAGE

If you detect a manufacturers fault with your item you must contact us within 7 days. We can offer a replacement item if it’s available. If the replacement item isn’t available we can offer you a similar item at a similar price or a refund. A refund isn’t available if a replacement item is available. Faults not reported within 7 days are not eligible for a refund.

DELIVERY DAMAGE

Where you have signed for goods without informing the delivery driver or us of any faults or damage then these goods may not be covered by the suppliers or the transport company. Please ensure that you inspect your goods upon delivery and record any faults or damage on the delivery note before signing it ensuring the delivery driver signs the delivery note. Please take a photo of the damage immediately following the delivery. You must then notify Ikumba Design Studios of any faulty or damaged goods within 24 hours of receipt of the goods.

YOU RECEIVED THE INCORRECT ITEM

Please contact us here at Ikumba Design Studios within 24 hours of the delivery of an incorrect item. We will then take care of the collection of the item and re-delivery of the correct item. No additional costs will be incurred by you. We will aim to have your replacement item delivered to you within the normal delivery time frame for that particular item.

GOODS DAMAGED BY YOU.

We will not accept the return of goods that are damaged by you (accidentally or otherwise) following delivery.

REFUND PAYMENT

Refunds will be by electronic funds transfer to your nominated account or in any other way decided by Ikumba Design Studios.

BESPOKE/CUSTOM MADE GOODS/SOURCED GOODS

If you have a product custom made all care will be taken to ensure that all information provided by you is relayed exactly to the manufacturer. We will not offer refunds, returns or exchanges except in the instance where the product is damaged during delivery or there is a manufacturer’s fault.

ORDER CANCELLATION

You can cancel an order only if the order hasn’t already been placed with the supplier however, please note normal bank fees and transaction costs apply when a refund is required.

DELAYED DELIVERY

When an order is placed for an item with our suppliers, an estimated delivery date will be supplied to you, however, delivery dates can be delayed due to various reasons. We will endeavour to keep you updated at all times if your item is delayed. In extreme cases and at the discretion of Ikumba Design Studios a refund or exchange will be offered.

COLORS OF PRODUCTS AND WEBSITE

Every effort has been taken to provide you with accurate color descriptions and images, however there may be reasons why the color of your item on arrival is not as depicted on your screen due to the many variances in colors by different computer screens or they are handmade pieces. No refunds are offered due to a color variation.
