Artisans in Burkina Faso dye hand-woven cotton panels with indigo powder extracted from the leaves of the indigofera tinctoria plant to create this stunning throw blanket. For centuries in West Africa, indigo cloth indicated power and wealth. Today, the use of synthetic indigo dye is predominant, but pockets of artisans still process the plant to create modern adaptations of this prized traditional cloth.
This gorgeous throw features an array of resist-dyed patterns and a braided fringe at each end.
For best care, hand-wash in cool water and air dry. Designs may vary slightly.
